In
his 33 years in the sport of running, Greg Lautenslager has been a
world-class runner, an award-winning journalist, and a champion coach.
Now he has written a running novel. During
his 20-year competitive career Greg won more than 100 races and
competed in 26 states, 11 countries, and three continents. He wrote
more than 3,000 sports stories, including a weekly running column,
for The Dallas Morning News from 1990–2001. He was
the distance coach at the University of North Texas from 1998–2001
and was named the 2000 Sun Belt Conference Cross Country Coach of
the Year, after directing his men’s squad to the team title.
Greg now lives—and still runs, writes,
and coaches—in Nelson, New Zealand, with his wife and three
sons.
